Four Oaks Estate
A private residential estate laid out in the 1890s on the old Four Oaks racecourse, on the northern edge of Sutton Coldfield and bordering Sutton Park. Five roads, more than four hundred trees, and a conservation area since 1986.

About the Estate
The land which today forms the Estate was used as a racecourse in the 1880s. Four Oaks Racecourse ceased operating around 1890 and the land was sold to the Marquess of Clanricarde, who laid out Hartopp Road, Bracebridge Road, Luttrell Road, Ladywood Road and Wentworth Road. Construction of private homes began around 1895.
The roads, verges and trees are privately owned and maintained by Four Oaks Estate Ltd, a company run by resident directors and funded by the annual road frontage charge. Read more about the Estate and how it is run.
